I thought I’m way past indulging myself in romantic books. Although this genre is more relatable and light, I almost always choose to read self-help ones nowadays. The manuscripts that I’m sure have gone through so many sleepless nights of pondering by the author. Not that romance books are easier to write. It’s just that our preferences change according to our life stages and what we need to learn at a specific point in our lives.
So anyway, I was intrigued by the title of this novel so I started reading it and surprisingly, I totally enjoyed the characters of this story. So to avoid this review becoming a spoiler, let me just share with you lessons and reminders I got from this story.
For one, love can be found in the most unexpected places, even in laboratories or in the hallways. It doesn’t matter if you are on the top of the food chain or in the gutter. When love finds you, your luck has come.
Two, friends really are true gems. They would do anything for you to be happy and would protect you at all cost. Fake ones, on the other hand, would only want to get something from you and will relish the chance of getting something or someone you hold dear.
Three, love comes in threes, or rather in three different couples. Yeah, I’m beginning to see this pattern not just in books but also in tv series. Maybe it adds to the drama or to the good feeling vibes when good things like love seems to happen to more than one couple.
Another lesson to learn from this story is not just to continue dreaming but to always remember the reason why you are aspiring for something in the first place. When you recognize your why, you will never lose your way. You might be redirected, but somehow you will end up exactly where you are supposed to be.
So the hypothesis is - love will certainly distract you but will also make your journey and your life worthwhile.
